RIGHT NOW! Call for agile pilots: Solutions that enable smoother traffic and sustainable mobility
Agile piloting is a challenge-based model for experimenting with novel services and technologies in a real urban environment with true experts of urban mobility – the local residents.
This winter we will select 2 agile pilots that provide solutions to mobility challenges in Jätkäsaari area. Not only will we compensate for the piloting – the selected companies will also get the opportunity to demonstrate their solution for an international audience at TRA2020 – Transport Research Arena next spring. Maximum cost for one agile pilot is 20,000 euros (VAT 0%). Deadline for submissions is 3 Feb 2020.
You can find the Call here and offer your solution for experimentation!

Lab in Action
Did you know that a lot of piloting is already ongoing in Jätkäsaari?
Together with the locals and the city’s planners, Last Mile project has enabled piloting of several mobility solutions in Jätkäsaari since this summer; Smart pedestrian crossing by Bercman Technologies; cargo bike logistics by Eezery Enterprise; cargo bike sharing by Nezeco; and carpooling for kids’ hobbies by Pallo-Pojat Juniorit Ry.
Another ongoing pilot is the Traffic situational picture developed by Infotripla Oy. Together with the city’s traffic management, Infotripla is improving the up-to-date picture of the traffic generated by one of the busiest passenger ferry connections in the world.
Analysing multiple variables, the solution provides accurate data on the approaching traffic volumes while producing open data on route suggestions and traffic events.
