Agile pilots call 

Our ‘Open call for agile pilots of innovative solutions on smooth traffic and sustainable mode choices’ closed on February 3rd. We received a total of 26 proposals. We’d like to thank all participants for the numerous high-quality pilot proposals! We’ll be contacting the applicants about the selections early next week.

Jätkäsaari Mobility Lab’s next networking event will be held on March 10 at our brand new launchpad and showroom area at Maria 01.  

Join us to hear about the results from last year’s pilots (short intro on Youtube in Finnish or in English) and the latest news on the upcoming pilots and projects. During the afternoon, you’ll also get to see the Lab’s showroom and collaboration space on Maria 01 startup campus, and have a great opportunity for networking with likeminded innovators and the people behind the Lab.

Service design coaching for mobility innovators! 

The Last Mile project (Perille Asti, in Finnish) offers service design coaching for up to 15 SME companies developing smart mobility solutions.

The coaching is free of charge for the participating companies, and is granted as de minimis aid (value of 1 000 eur). Coaching is offered primarily in Finnish, and is conducted by service design professionals of Solita Oy. 

TRA2020 Startup Deal

Transport Research Arena 2020, set in Helsinki on 27-30 April, offers affordable expo packages for startups.

For 750€, you will get a 4-day conference pass, 4m² furnished exhibition space and visibility in the conference media. And most importantly, you will get a chance to hear about the latest trends from your field of mobility for a lower rate than a regular 4-day conference pass!  

Israel-Finland Pilot Program  

To boost innovation in smart mobility, digital health and ICT, Helsinki Business Hub has launched a pilot program for startups together with Israel Innovation Authority. The program provides matching services for Helsinki region and Israeli startups looking for a partner in the respective country to pilot their solutions.  

The first project through the program kicked off recently with an Israeli-based startup Viziblezone piloting their app-based solution aiming towards improved pedestrian safety in Helsinki. Jätkäsaari Mobility Lab assists Viziblezone in engaging local residents to test and review the application.

Increase your creativity in mobility business: Join one or all of the fresh new mobility events!  

Mobility Sprint is a series of events for smart mobility entrepreneurs, future entrepreneurs and entrepreneur-minded people. Join us for inspiring entrepreneur stories, mental balance workshop, legal info, drawing workshop, IP rights and funding info. The events support, guide and empower entrepreneurs, whilst encouraging people to start their own business.
